Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. In 2004, Ken moved to Washington, D.C. to attend law school at American University, Washington College of Law. Since receiving his law degree in 2007, Ken's practice has been almost exclusively focused on real estate-related matters.
Upon graduating, Ken spent much of his time litigating construction lien disputes ranging from small residential matters to large commercial projects. In addition, Ken's practice included contract litigation, appellate litigation, and advising
small to midsize companies on general business matters.

Following the housing and construction crash in 2008, the focus of Ken's practice shifted to predominantly representing mortgage servicers and lenders in loan foreclosures, lien-priority disputes, title litigation, property receivership actions, and other financial services litigation. Ken also represented national title insurance companies in litigation arising from the swell of title claims following the housing collapse.
Today, Ken's practice focuses primarily on representing residential real estate owners, investors, and developers in their general business, litigation, and transactional needs. Ken and his wife, along with their two children, now reside in Louisville, KY.
